Hey everyone! So it’s the night before I leave, around 11:30, and I’m just sitting here in bed thinking about the next 7 weeks. People have been telling me all week this is the time of my life and it’s hard to take a step back and realize how blessed I am to be traveling/studying abroad in Europe. It really hasn’t hit me yet that I leave tomorrow and I’m sure tomorrow will be bittersweet; so excited to be going abroad on this adventure, yet I’m sure I’ll miss the comforts of family and friends back home. I’m not quite looking forward to the jetlag associated with my flight tomorrow, but I’m sure I’ll manage. I start my journey tomorrow flying out of DFW to Newark at 1:20pm and depart from there at 8:40pm for Madrid.
On a separate note, I wanted to let everyone know that I can receive text messages while abroad, I just can’t respond (B/c I only have 50 for the month)… So I’d love to get any random text messages if you think to send any! I will also have access to Facebook and Skype (username: Jonathan.Slusser) although limited in the first two weeks while I’m backpacking Spain/Italy/& Greece. But I hope everyone who reads this has a fantastic summer and I’m looking forward to seeing everyone when I get back July 1st! See you all soon.
